The Farm
Hope Harvest is nestled on a 5-acre spread in the beautiful Peidmont region of Georgia. Located near the junction of Banks, Hall, and Jackson counties and 35 miles from Athens, the farm is in an ideal location to provide services to the southern part of Northeast Georgia. Ben and Kristi Pahr have dedicated 1/4 acre of their homestead to Hope Harvest and hope to procure dedicated lands sometime in the future.

Kristi Pahr - founder and farm manager
Kristi Pahr, a native Georgian,came of age in a small town steeped in Southern history. Since she was a child, Kristi has been interested in her natural surroundings and country living. For generations, her family practiced subsistence farming in the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains and the Georgia Peidmont. Kristi recognizes the need for keeping these traditions alive and has dedicated herself to learning and reviving the lost arts of subsistance farming and Appalachian cultural practices. She is a registered veterinary technician with years of experience in emergency and critical care veterinary medicine.
Ben Pahr - founder
Ben , born and raised in the sprawling suburbs of Chicago, relocated to Georgia in 1996. He is a 2001 University of Georgia graduate with a degree in history. Ben has long been interested in self-sufficiency and has had productive gardens in past years, providing food for himself and his wife, Kristi. Ben is a planner and a realist and is the organizational backbone of this project, providing guidance and advice as we progress through the creation of this farm. While he's not brainstorming or driving the tractor, he works in the fire protection industry as general manager of a fire sprinkler fabrication company.
Neither Ben nor Kristi are seasoned farmers, but seeing the need and recognizing their calling, both have dedicated themselves to the pursuit of knowledge that will make this dream a reality.
